THE FIVE SENSES

This week we finished the didactic unit on "The five senses", and we already started with the food topic. You can find an attached  link to a simple online book to review the five senses with the kids at home.

Esta semana hemos acabado la unidad didáctica sobre los cinco sentidos, y comenzamos ya con los alimentos. Os adjuntamos un link a un sencillo libro online para repasar los cinco sentidos con los niños en casa.

THERE WAS AN OLD LADY WHO SWALLOWED A FLY

"There was an old lady who swallowed a fly" is a famous and funny English story-song that we have begun to learn in class. We wachted the video with the song and Tineke told us the story. We attached one version of the song so you can sing and enjoy it at home.

“There was an old lady who swallowed a fly” es una famosa y divertida canción-historia inglesa que hemos comenzado a aprender en clase. Hemos visto el video con la canción y Tineke nos ha contado la historia. Os dejamos una de las versiones de la canción para que la disfrutéis y la cantéis en casa.

BERTA, THE WITCH

Last Thursday, 31st of October, Berta, the witch, visited us at school. We had a nice storytelling activity, with two stories: "Sopa de Calabaza" and  "Room on the Broom", which is a Berta's adventure. Berta told us things about witches and gave us sweets to celebrate Halloween. Children enjoyed her visit, were a bit scared, , laughed a lot ... and taught Berta a lot of things. Here there is the video with the story of Berta, and some photos of the activity.

El pasado jueves, 31 de Octubre, nos visitó Berta, la bruja. Nos contó dos cuentos: "Sopa de Calabaza" y "Room on the Broom", una de las aventuras de Berta. Berta nos contó cosas de brujas y nos dio caramelos para celebrar Halloween. Los niños difrutaron con su visita, se asustaron un poco, se rieron mucho... y le enseñaron a Berta un montón de cosas.  Aquí tenéis el video con la historia de Berta, y algunas fotos de la actividad.

 

COLOURS CORNER

As children had told you, the class of Primary 1 is doing a small project on the colours. These months we are taking every opportunity to review the colours and numbers. In order to complete our Colours Corner children are bringing some color pictures and photos that they cut from old magazines and publicity materials. We show you some pictures of how it's being our Colours Corner

We would also like to introduce you to "Bones" (Huesitos) and "Woody", who are helping us to learn the parts of the body and joints.

Como os habrán comentado los niños, en 1º de Primaria estamos haciendo un pequeño proyecto sobre los colores. Este trimestre estamos aprovechando cualquier oportunidad para repasar los colores y los números. Para ir completando nuestro Rincón de los Colores, los niños están trayendo algunas imágenes de colores que encuentran y recortan en revistas viejas o catálogos de publicidad. Os mostramos algunas fotos de cómo está quedando nuestro Rincón de los Colores.

Aprovechamos también para presentaros a "Huesitos" y "Woody", que nos están ayudando a aprender las partes del cuerpo y las articulaciones.

ENGLISH SONGS

The students of Primary 1 already know several English songs. They are short songs that help us to learn and reinforce basic vocabulary and some structures; and we also sing them for fun.  Here are the links to two of them, the ones we are singing this week: "ONE, TWO, BUCKLE MY SHOE", and "I CAN RUN". Children will love to sing them with you at home.

Los alumnos de 1º de Primaria ya nos sabemos varias canciones en Inglés. Son pequeñas canciones que nos sirven para aprender y reforzar vocabulario, y algunas estructuras básicas, y también para divertirnos. Aquí están los links a dos de ellas, las que estamos cantando esta semana:"ONE, TWO, BUCKLE MY SHOE", and "I CAN RUN". Seguro que a los niños le encanta cantarlas con vosotros en casa.
